Abe HD was announced in 2011 after Stranger's Wrath HD and Munch's Oddysee HD. When it was announced, it was unconfirmed if Abe HD would be a remake of Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exoddus, something new, or a combination of the above.

Abe's OddyseeEdit

On the Oddworld Inhabitants Facebook Page it was confirmed that Abe HD would be a reboot of Abe's Oddysee.

"We decided to reboot it, not just an HD update to the original PS1 title, this is a NEW game. It will be getting it's first public showing LATER this year, with a release date of NEXT summer (2013)."

"To extra clarify Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee HD, it is a remake of the original PS1 title, however we have started it from scratch using the original as a blueprint... Ok?"

Abe's Exoddus may or may not be a title included in Abe HD.
