Oddworld Wiki

Hi! Welcome to the Oddworld Fandom Wiki!

Recently OWI has began to publish posts on their Twitter citing articles from this site, along with content that heavily implies that the wiki is in some way official or sanctioned.

We'd like to dispel this rumor now: The Fandom Wiki is 100% community run and has in fact been long plagued by information of dubious validity, despite the valiant efforts of its editors (whose job we really appreciate, keep up the good fight!). For this reason, we'd like to ask our readers to take everything here with a great chunk of salt, especially when it comes to content without valid citations.

If you wish to fight against misinformation, you're encouraged to contribute high-quality content to the wiki—that is content that's propped up by a trusted source (examples include: Oddworld.com, Magog on the March, or The Oddworld Library) and contain no headcanons, theorizing, or any further content not directly coming from Oddworld Inhabitants.

Thank you for your attention and understanding! Happy reading and editing!

Machine Operators are Industrialist creations found in Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. They can be used by Munch to operate Industrial Snoozers and Cranes. These appear similar to Vending Machines, but have an extended diagonal lower front with an indented circle where Munch's Headport wirelessly makes the connection to, and an apparatus resembling an old-fashion TV antenna on the top of the control booth.

Snoozer[]

Snoozer01

Snoozers are found in only 2 levels throughout the entire game, being Snoozie Lab and Sloghut 2813. They can be used to take out enemies and put them to sleep for a limited amount of time (indicated by having a halo circle them), as well as blow up TNT Crates. They have health similar to enemies (a halo of miniature Chant Orbs) possessed by Abe, and when the Snoozer has been defeated, a new one will drop back from a chute where it started from.

Cranes are found in 7 levels throughout the entire game, some levels even have 2. Unlike Snoozers, they can never be destroyed. Cranes can carry stuff around similar to what Abe can do (it even carries Abe himself) and place them up on high places. It's not able to carry anything Abe is unable to carry, like Fuzzles. Other stuff cranes can do includes dropping enemies onto a Recycling Fan, dropping enemies into the water to easily take them out, dropping Bonepowder Kegs onto enemies more precisely (as well as use them to open paths blocked off by TNT Crates), and drop Labor Egg Crates into a Disposal Chute. When something for the crane to pick up is underneath it, its light will change from red to green. It can only move within a certain area.
