Oddworld Wiki

Hi! Welcome to the Oddworld Fandom Wiki!

Recently OWI has began to publish posts on their Twitter citing articles from this site, along with content that heavily implies that the wiki is in some way official or sanctioned.

We'd like to dispel this rumor now: The Fandom Wiki is 100% community run and has in fact been long plagued by information of dubious validity, despite the valiant efforts of its editors (whose job we really appreciate, keep up the good fight!). For this reason, we'd like to ask our readers to take everything here with a great chunk of salt, especially when it comes to content without valid citations.

If you wish to fight against misinformation, you're encouraged to contribute high-quality content to the wiki—that is content that's propped up by a trusted source (examples include: Oddworld.com, Magog on the March, or The Oddworld Library) and contain no headcanons, theorizing, or any further content not directly coming from Oddworld Inhabitants.

Thank you for your attention and understanding! Happy reading and editing!

Armored poppers are a class of Armored Sligs armed with T2 Fully Automatics and a metallic armor on their head and forearms known as Heavy Armor. They are the most difficult known type of Slig to defeat aside from Big Bro Sligs.

Whilst rare in the mid game of Munch's Oddysee, by late game, they become one of the more common enemies that Abe and Munch would face. Their high numbers, tough defenses and powerful weaponry makes the Armored Popper one of the most dangerous enemies in the game, even with Mudarcher and Tomahawker support. They have been observed to emit a beam of orange light from their backs which may be a communications antenna.

There is a special Armored Slig Popper seen only once in Munch's Oddysee. Being of the highest rank of sligs before that of a Big-Bro, it is a guard for the Flubco scrub pens.

Bearing extreme similarities to standard armored sligs, it is actually quite different. Although its heavy armor is similar, it actually offers the protection equivelent of standard Big-Bro Sligs, as well as wielding a fully-automatic and modified T2 Fully Automatic, with a rate of fire as fast as (if not faster than) the undisputed Blitz-packer.

This Slig is positioned at a voice lock. The player must possess him and use any game speak button to get the door open. There is then a series of spawners/regenerators located behind the the door, which spawn more armored sligs. These ones, however, are wearing the more standardized heavy armor.
