The Slig Barracks was a large training ground where new Slig recruits learned basic skills required for becoming a member of security personnel. These skills included, but were not limited to: proficiency of firearms, overseeing workers, and becoming familiar with new technologies (such as the helicopter pack of the Flying Slig).
Abe's Exoddus[]
Administration[]
The Slig Barracks was under the command of a high ranking Glukkon officer, General Dripik. The Barracks was ultimately destroyed when Abe assassinated Dripik and freed the Mudokons there. It's believed that there may be more Barrack installations in operation within other regions of Mudos.
Outskirts[]
The Barracks generally consisted of tents, guard towers, and other installations that were required for the training of Sligs. As with Bonewerkz, a central hub within the Barracks can be used to access the head Glukkon's office, which is in this case, known as "The War Room". The area appears to have a green/yellow color scheme, perhaps to symbolise that this is a Slig encampment. There is also much smog in the skies of the barracks.

Soulstorm[]
Administration[]
In Soulstorm, it is not specified who runs the Slig Barracks. It is partially implied that the Sligs run it themselves, given that a representative of the facility does not go to Soulstorm Brewery to complain about the slave revolt that Abe started. Molluck is known to have gone to the Slig Barracks for reinforcements, after the ambushes at the Gorge and Sorrow Valley failed.
Facility[]
The surface of the facility is almost identical to how it was in Abe's Exoddus; army tents, watchtowers, and electric nodes covered in a green smog. As you go deeper, the differences become more apparent. At the lowest level of the facility are the furnaces, operated by Mudokons as opposed to the cleaning jobs that the slaves do elsewhere. These furnaces keep the Barracks moist and humid, which is the preferred living conditions of the Sligs. Since the furnaces are vital to the running of the Barracks, this area is heavily guarded. If production ever significantly falters, extra forces come down from the Comm Tower via a supply delivery car.
Comm Tower[]
The Slig Barrack's most noticeable addition is the Comm Tower. This building is a vital node in the communication system of Mudos. When Abe shuts it down, the entire Z-Line loses its ability to carry communications. The Comm Tower broadcasts news stories such as News for Your Blues and Magog on the March. This media is sometimes stored on Blahtta Tapes. Comm Towers are seemingly the only place where these tapes are still used. Abe uses the media players on the Comm Towers to learn of 'Projekt Soulstorm', and the unknown deadly affects of Soulstorm Brew.
Trivia[]
- In the Slig Barracks' Rules and Regulations - all violators are shot and killed before disciplinary measures are actually taken. This is an ongoing joke referring to the term, "shoot first, ask questions later".
