Oddworld Wiki

Hi! Welcome to the Oddworld Fandom Wiki!

Recently OWI has began to publish posts on their Twitter citing articles from this site, along with content that heavily implies that the wiki is in some way official or sanctioned.

We'd like to dispel this rumor now: The Fandom Wiki is 100% community run and has in fact been long plagued by information of dubious validity, despite the valiant efforts of its editors (whose job we really appreciate, keep up the good fight!). For this reason, we'd like to ask our readers to take everything here with a great chunk of salt, especially when it comes to content without valid citations.

If you wish to fight against misinformation, you're encouraged to contribute high-quality content to the wiki—that is content that's propped up by a trusted source (examples include: Oddworld.com, Magog on the March, or The Oddworld Library) and contain no headcanons, theorizing, or any further content not directly coming from Oddworld Inhabitants.

Thank you for your attention and understanding! Happy reading and editing!

Gabbiar

A can of Gabbiar.

Gabbiar (a portmanteau of Gabbit and caviar) is a product produced and sold by the Fine Foods division of Vykkers Labs. A typical can contains 150 Gabbit eggs and is considered a delicacy on Oddworld. During the events of Munch's Odyssey it is revealed by the Almighty Raisin in a cutsence, that due to the short-sighteness of the Vykkers, only one can of Grade-A Gabbiar remains and is set to appear for auction at Vykkers Labs soon. Gaining possession of it along with saving a huge stockpile of Mudokon labour eggs later becomes the main objective of the game.

During the good ending it purchased at auction by Lulu (possessed by Abe at the time) for three million Moolah. Munch later recovers the last can of Gabbiar to help save his dying species. His success in doing so is unknown, as no true followup to Munch's Oddysee exists as of yet.

In the bad ending, the Gabbiar is revealed to have been eaten by the winner of the auction, effectively rendering the Gabbit species extinct as Munch is also killed during the ending in order to transplant new lungs to the dying Gluk Queen which saves her life.
