A Mudokon Scrub as depicted in Munch's Oddysee

A Scrub is a class of Mudokon slave, forced to clean up "sloggy poo", as said by the Shaman. They are first namely introduced in Munch's Oddysee. They have a grey/brown skin tone and dark, yellow eyes due to bad health and poor lighting. They are seen with a black and white striped loincloth and hat. In gameplay, they are to be rescued by Abe, and more escapees will reward him with good Quarma . It can be assumed that all Mudokons working under industrialists are scrubs, and this term was just never used in the prior games. However this is up for debate as in prior games the working Mudokons were white eyed and not grey-white skinned (with the exception of blind Mudokons). The term "scrub" was likely introduced so that players would not confuse free and enslaved Mudokons.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty Edit

Preorder-scrub

The pre-order exclusive Scrub outfit

As a PlayStation 4 pre-order bonus for Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, players have the option of dressing Abe in a scrub outfit. The outfit does not affect gameplay and serves solely as an aesthetic change[1].

TriviaEdit

  • If any Scrubs are killed in any levels where they must pull Multiple Levers or use Chant Circles to progress through the level, a notice will appear informing how important they are, urging the player to restart the level, with it now being unbeatable, since Scrubs are unrevivable.
