Oddworld Wiki

Hi! Welcome to the Oddworld Fandom Wiki!

Recently OWI has began to publish posts on their Twitter citing articles from this site, along with content that heavily implies that the wiki is in some way official or sanctioned.

We'd like to dispel this rumor now: The Fandom Wiki is 100% community run and has in fact been long plagued by information of dubious validity, despite the valiant efforts of its editors (whose job we really appreciate, keep up the good fight!). For this reason, we'd like to ask our readers to take everything here with a great chunk of salt, especially when it comes to content without valid citations.

If you wish to fight against misinformation, you're encouraged to contribute high-quality content to the wiki—that is content that's propped up by a trusted source (examples include: Oddworld.com, Magog on the March, or The Oddworld Library) and contain no headcanons, theorizing, or any further content not directly coming from Oddworld Inhabitants.

Thank you for your attention and understanding! Happy reading and editing!

Figures entering the "Wage Wars" arena.

Wage Wars was an online game planned to be one of two to tie in to the film Citizen Siege. The premise of both games and film would have been that Earth had fallen into a dystopian, global corporatist society, where human life has been reduced to a commodity.

Background[]

Wage Wars was one of two games inteded to release as a cross promotion with the film "Citizen Siege". The premise of both the game and the movie would have revolved around a dystoptian future where the United States of America is purchased by a massive corprate entity. The society built up afterwards by said corporation would be one of heavy class division, militarism, violance and corruption. Very little is known about this game but it could be speculated that the game revolved around the blood-sport known as Wage Wars and that players may have been pit againts one another to fight in an arena.

Unfortunately, the Global Financial Crash of 2007-2008 prevented the game from ever being produced alongside its other related projects.
